Pickled Turnips

This is a quick recipe that allows you to make pickled turnips for less than $1

Ingredients
  

  • 1 lb Turnips
  • 1 Red Beet
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 1/2 cup Water
  • 1/4 cup White Vinegar

Instructions
 

  • Cut turnips and beets to the size you like to use for dipping
  • Mix together the cut beets, water and salt
  • Add the vinegar to the jar
  • Add half the turnips to the jar, followed by some beets, then the remaining turnips and beets in layers
  • Let them sit on the counter for 3-4 days and then enjoy!
